St Dorothy's School hosts the Annual APCCS Event
On Saturday, 6th November, St Dorothy's Senior School hosted
the annual APCCS
Talent Show that welcomes new Church School entrants.
The show is organised by Ms Doreen Camilleri, President of
APCCS – the Association
of Parents of Children in Church Schools. The aim is to
welcome new students to
Church Schools with a programme performed by other students
who already attend
a Church School. St. Dorothy's Senior School has been
enthusiastically participating
regularly in these events for a number of years by
contributing dances and singing.
This year, the programme started with Mass celebrated by Fr.
Alan Scerri, osa. This
was followed by a speech by Ms Camilleri and performances by
students from Stella
Maris (Balzan), Theresa Nunzo School, St Francis Senior
School, St Joseph Primary
School and St Dorothy's School. Ms Camilleri also spoke to
the parents present about
the European Parents Association (EPA).
The St Dorothy's students who took part in the event were
Karen Bartolo, Denise
Camilleri, Michela Debono, Nicole Mallia Meilak, Megan
Mifsud and Lucinda Zarb of
Form 1 and Form 2, who performed a Spanish dance
choreographed by Ms Charmaine
Tanti. Althea Georgiovann Troisi de Menville of Form 4
performed the song 'Crazy
Seasons'.
